Unauthenticated remote control via unverified management connections
Published Mar 10, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Missing authentication in SAP Solution Manager Diagnostics Agent before 7.2 allows remote attackers to control all agent functions. The agent accepts unencrypted management connections without authenticating the source, treating an attacker-controlled endpoint as trusted. Network access to the management channel is sufficient to invoke remote functions under the agent's operating-system account.
