Victim-session script execution via insufficient output encoding
Published Feb 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS affecting SAP Automated Note Search Tool on SAP_BASIS 7.40 and 7.50 through 7.54 allows remote attackers to run browser scripts. The ABAP Online Community response places user-controlled input into generated content without sufficient encoding. A victim must interact with crafted content; the script then runs in that victim's SAP origin and can read or alter session-visible data.
