CVE-2020-6177Network attack vector

Partial denial of service via XML validation

Published Feb 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Improper input validation in SAP Mobile Platform 3.0 allows remote authenticated users to cause partial denial of service via crafted XML documents. The server accepts XML from an untrusted source without sufficient validation; external-entity resolution is disabled, so file disclosure is not exposed. An authenticated network attacker can submit malformed XML to degrade service availability, without evidence of data disclosure or integrity change.
