Credential disclosure via passwords embedded in login page
Published Jan 8, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authentication bypass in Genexis Platinum-4410 v2.1 firmware 1.28 allows remote attackers to obtain cleartext router credentials. The unauthenticated cgi-bin/index2.asp login page inserts the passwords for its Admin, GENEXIS, and user3 accounts directly into the returned HTML source. Network access to the management interface is sufficient to read the credentials, which can then authenticate to the router and alter its settings.
