Settings disclosure and theme modification via is_admin misuse
Published Jan 9, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authorization bypass in WebFactory Minimal Coming Soon & Maintenance Mode 2.15 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to export settings. The csmm_plugin_admin_init function treats is_admin() as an authorization check and registers settings-export and theme-change actions without enforcing an administrator capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to download the plugin configuration or alter the maintenance-page theme, affecting confidentiality and integrity.
