Code execution via heap buffer overflow

BIMx Desktop Viewer 2019.2.2328 allows remote attackers to execute code through a specially crafted model file. The file-format parser mishandles attacker-controlled resource values, causing an integer overflow that becomes a heap buffer overflow during model loading. Exploitation requires a victim to open the malicious file; successful exploitation can execute attacker-controlled code with the viewer’s user privileges.
