Local privilege escalation in affected Check Point SmartConsole R80.10 through R81 builds allows local users to execute code with elevated privileges. SmartConsole launches executables from a directory writable by all authenticated users, allowing a user-controlled binary to replace an expected executable. Exploitation requires authenticated local access and subsequent execution of the planted binary in SmartConsole's elevated context, enabling compromise of the host.
