CVE-2020-5969

Information disclosure or denial of service via race

Published Jun 30, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Race condition in NVIDIA vGPU Software 8.x before 8.4, 9.x before 9.4, and 10.x before 10.3 allows local users to disclose data or interrupt service. The Virtual GPU Manager vGPU plugin validates a shared resource and then uses it, allowing its state to change between validation and use. A local low-privileged user must trigger the race; the documented consequences are limited to information disclosure or service interruption.
