Database traffic interception via unencrypted PostgreSQL connection
Published Apr 23, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cleartext transmission in F5 Networks NGINX Controller before 3.3.0 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept database traffic. The Controller's PostgreSQL client connection omits transport encryption, sending database traffic over an unprotected channel. An attacker must gain a network position between the Controller and PostgreSQL; exposed data is limited to traffic crossing that link.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
