Out-of-bounds read in secars.dll in Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager before 14.2 RU2 MP1 allows local users to disclose memory. The module fails to validate user-supplied data before reading beyond the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires low-privileged code execution on the server and can expose sensitive data or assist chained code execution as the semwebsrv user.
