Arbitrary file operations in Symantec Endpoint Protection and SEP SBE before 14.2 RU2 MP1 allow local users to disrupt the host. Methods exposed by a COM class in AvHostPlugin.dll accept low-privileged calls to delete or move arbitrary files without authorization. Local code execution under a low-privileged account is required; file deletion or relocation can deny service, while chaining with other flaws can permit SYSTEM-level code execution.
