DLL injection in Symantec Endpoint Protection products before 14.2 RU2 MP1 allows local users to execute attacker-controlled code. The vendor identifies substitution of attacker-supplied code for legitimate code but does not disclose the affected executable, DLL search path, or triggering operation. Local low-privileged access is required; successful exploitation runs the substituted code in the vulnerable application context and can compromise data and service availability.
