CVE-2020-5724Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Password disclosure via challenge username SQL injection

Published Mar 30, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Blind SQL injection in Grandstream Networks UCM6200 Series before 1.0.20.22 allows remote attackers to discover user passwords. The websockify challenge action inserts the supplied username into a users-table SQL query, and differing success responses expose a boolean oracle. No authentication is required; repeated read-only queries can recover stored passwords through the response oracle.
