Unauthenticated code execution via malformed TCP packet
Published Mar 16, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Buffer error in the TCP function of Mitsubishi Electric MELQIC IU1-1M20-D firmware 1.0.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code. The TCP/IP stack performs operations outside a memory buffer's intended bounds when it processes a specially crafted packet. No authentication or user interaction is required; a reachable device can lose network functions or run attacker-supplied code.
