CVE-2020-5534

Root command execution via undisclosed input handling

Published Feb 21, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

OS command injection in NEC Platforms Aterm WG2600HS firmware 1.3.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run commands as root. Public advisories do not identify the management endpoint, parameter, or input-handling operation that passes attacker-controlled data to the operating system. Access requires login to the device HTTP service from the same network segment, and successful exploitation grants root-level command execution.
