OS command injection in NEC Platforms Aterm router firmware allows remote authenticated users on the local network to execute commands as root. The management screen invokes operating-system commands without adequately neutralizing attacker-controlled input; public advisories do not identify the parameter or function. Access to the authenticated management screen from the same network segment is required, and successful exploitation grants complete root-level control of the router.
