Root command execution via UPnP command injection

OS command injection in NEC Platforms Aterm firmware allows remote attackers on the same network segment to execute commands as root. The UPnP function places attacker-controlled input into an OS command context without adequate neutralization; neither NEC nor JVN identifies the handler or parameter. Access to the device's UPnP interface from the adjacent network is required, and successful exploitation grants root-level command execution on the router.
