SQL injection via unescaped query parameter
Published Jan 6, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Gila CMS 1.11.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL through the /admin/sql?query= endpoint. The endpoint passes the GET query parameter into database statements without adequate parameterization, allowing attacker-controlled SQL syntax to alter queries. Access requires authenticated administrative privileges, and successful exploitation can read or modify database data or interrupt service.
