Authenticated file disclosure via delete path traversal
Published Jan 6, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in Gila CMS 1.11.8 allows remote authenticated users to read local files through a crafted /cm/delete request. The delete action treats the t parameter as a file-inclusion target without constraining traversal sequences, so ../ segments select files outside the intended directory. Administrator access is required; the demonstrated direct impact is local-file disclosure, while code execution additionally requires an attacker-uploaded PHP payload.
