CVE-2020-5427Network attack vector

SQL injection via unchecked task sort property

Published Jan 27, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

SQL injection in VMware Spring Cloud Data Flow 2.5 before 2.5.4 and 2.6 before 2.6.5 allows remote authenticated users to alter task queries. TaskExecutionController sends each request-controlled sort property to the task explorer without checking it against permitted database columns. Access to the task-execution listing endpoint and a crafted sort parameter are required, with consequences bounded by the server database account.
