Plaintext recovery via fixed CBC initialization vector

Information disclosure in Spring Security allows remote authenticated users to derive plaintext through a dictionary attack. The queryable text encryptor passes a fixed all-zero initialization vector to CBC mode, so candidate values encrypted under the same key produce matching ciphertext. Exploitation requires access to ciphertext and a practical plaintext dictionary; the bounded consequence is recovery of matching encrypted values.
