CSRF in Spring MVC and Spring WebFlux 5.2.0 through 5.2.2 allows remote attackers to trigger endpoint actions via CORS preflight requests. The web modules accept preflight requests at non-authenticated endpoints on the assumption that preflights carry no credentials, while Chrome sends TLS client certificates. Exposure requires such an endpoint or Chrome client-certificate authentication; the attack cannot send or receive an HTTP body.
