Traffic interception via improper certificate validation
Published Jun 23, 2020 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Improper certificate validation in Dell EMC PowerMax management products allows remote attackers to read or modify data in transit. Dell has not disclosed the affected certificate-validation locus; the products accept an attacker-supplied certificate without proper validation. Exploitation requires a man-in-the-middle position, and successful interception permits reading or modification of traffic between the victim and affected management service.
