Privileged platform access via unchecked BIOS password change

Authentication bypass in select Dell client platforms allows local users to change the BIOS Admin password through the manageability interface. The interface accepts a new BIOS Admin password without verifying knowledge of the current password. Physical access or OS administrator privileges are required, after which the attacker gains privileged platform and hard-drive access.
