Reflected XSS via unescaped CSV column names
Published Jun 3, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in October CMS 1.0.319 through 1.0.465 allows attackers to execute script in an importer's browser via a crafted CSV. The import-column partial renders first-row CSV column names into an anchor without HTML escaping, so markup becomes executable content. A backend user with ImportExportController import permission must be induced to upload the file; script runs with that user's session privileges.
