CVE-2020-5288Network attack vector

Back-office privilege bypass via missing controller annotations

Published Apr 20, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Incorrect authorization in PrestaShop 1.7.0.0 through 1.7.6.4 allows remote authenticated users to access product-attribute actions. AttributeController actions omit AdminSecurity annotations, so back-office accounts bypass ADMINPRODUCTS permission checks for read, create, update, and delete operations. Exploitation requires a valid back-office account; the resulting access is limited to product attributes and related combination data.
