Path traversal in Next.js before 9.3.2 allows remote authenticated users to read files within .next through crafted HTTP requests. The next start server resolves /_next/static request paths without restricting access to known files beneath .next/static. Exposure requires a next start deployment; serverless, static-export, and ZEIT Now v2 deployments are unaffected, and disclosure is limited to build assets or other data intentionally stored in .next.
