Reflected XSS via unescaped search error output
Published Apr 20, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in PrestaShop 1.5.5.0 through 1.7.6.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via Search page inputs. AdminSearchConfController.php concatenates invalid alias and search values directly into validation error messages instead of passing them through Tools::safeOutput. Successful exploitation requires back-office access and victim interaction, and it runs attacker-controlled script in the victim's browser context.
