Script execution via unsanitized public-folder path
Published Jan 13, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in the Cerberus FTP Server Web Client before 11.0.1 and 10.0.17 allows remote attackers to execute script via a public-folder URL. The folder_up.png IMG element renders a user-inserted directory path without properly sanitizing it, placing attacker-controlled HTML or JavaScript in the response. Exploitation requires a publicly shared folder and user interaction with a crafted link; the script runs in the visitor's browser context.
