Sensitive data exposure via weaker protection methods
Published Jul 16, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Data protection weakness in IBM QRadar SIEM 7.3 and 7.4 allows attackers on adjacent networks to read sensitive protected data. IBM identifies weaker protection for stored data and for inter-host traffic when Encrypt Host Connections is disabled, but it does not disclose the cryptographic methods or implementation locus. Exploitation requires access to adjacent network traffic or stored data and exposes confidentiality without reported data modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
