CVE-2020-4966Network attack vector

Session cookie disclosure via missing Secure attribute

Published Jan 21, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Cookie security failure in IBM Security Identity Governance and Intelligence 5.2.6 allows attackers to read session cookies over HTTP. The virtual appliance issues authorization tokens or session cookies without the Secure attribute, so browsers transmit them over attacker-supplied HTTP links. A user must encounter such a link while an attacker can snoop the resulting network traffic; exposure is limited to cookie confidentiality.
