User-data access and protocol-data injection
Published Mar 15, 2023 · Updated Feb 26, 2025
Information disclosure in IBM Spectrum Scale 5.0.5.0 through 5.1.6.1 allows local users to access user data through the core protocol. IBM has not published the core component's faulty operation or how arbitrary data enters the communication protocol. Only clusters that host file systems are affected; client-only clusters that mount file systems owned by other clusters are not affected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
