CVE-2020-4888Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via Java deserialization

Published Jan 28, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Insecure deserialization in IBM QRadar SIEM 7.3 and 7.4 affected releases allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary system commands. The Java deserialization function processes user-supplied serialized objects without establishing that their contents are safe. Reaching the flaw requires low-privileged authenticated network access; IBM has not identified the receiving endpoint or Java class.
