Authenticated service crash via crafted API requests

Affected IBM Safer Payments releases allow remote authenticated users to crash the application through crafted API requests. IBM has disclosed only that multiple specially crafted requests to the authenticated API trigger the crash; the affected handler and faulty operation are not public. A valid product session and special circumstances are required, and successful exploitation interrupts the Safer Payments service without reported data exposure or modification.
