Database read and modification via passwordless MongoDB
Published May 17, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Missing authorization in IBM Planning Analytics Local 2.0 allows remote attackers to read and modify its MongoDB database without credentials. The Planning Analytics Workspace deployment exposes its MongoDB service on a remote port and configures it without password authentication. Network reachability to that port is sufficient for unauthenticated database access, while the published impact excludes service interruption.
