Authentication bypass in IBM Spectrum Protect client web interfaces allows remote attackers to access unauthorized resources. The interfaces improperly validate sessions, but IBM has not disclosed the affected request path or exact validation error. Network access to a configured interface is sufficient; affected Client releases are 8.1.7.0 through 8.1.9.1 on Linux and Windows and 8.1.9.0 through 8.1.9.1 on AIX, with the respective ranges also affecting Space Management.
