Phishing redirection via reverse tabnabbing
Published May 29, 2020 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Reverse tabnabbing in IBM BAW 18 and 19 and BPM 8.0, 8.5, and 8.6 allows remote attackers to redirect users to phishing sites. IBM locates the flaw in the Process App Documentation Editor in Process Center and Workflow Center but does not disclose the exact link-handling operation that leaves the opener context exposed. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted link, after which the new tab can replace the trusted page context with phishing content.
