Unauthenticated code execution via unsafe object deserialization
Published Jun 5, 2020 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Unsafe deserialization in IBM WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment 7.0, 8.0, 8.5, and 9.0 allows remote attackers to execute code. BroadcastMessageManager fails to validate user-supplied serialized object sequences before deserializing them. Exploitation requires no authentication and runs attacker-controlled code with SYSTEM privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
