CVE-2020-4367Network attack vector

Decryption of highly sensitive information

Published Jun 2, 2020 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Weak cryptography in IBM Planning Analytics Local 2.0 allows remote attackers to decrypt highly sensitive information. The Planning Analytics Workspace component uses weaker-than-expected cryptographic algorithms, but IBM has not identified the algorithm, key handling, protocol, or data path involved. No privileges or user interaction are required, but exploitation has high complexity; the documented consequence is disclosure only, with no reported modification or service interruption.
