CVE-2020-4358Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via arbitrary Web UI JavaScript

Published May 27, 2020 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Cross-site scripting in IBM Spectrum Scale 5.0.0.0 through 5.0.4.4 allows remote authenticated users to expose credentials via the Web UI. The Web UI renders embedded JavaScript without sufficient neutralization; IBM has not identified the affected page, parameter, or rendering path. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and interaction in a trusted session, where the script can alter displayed content and disclose credentials.
