Weak cryptography in IBM Spectrum Scale GUI 5.0.0.0 through 5.0.4.4 allows remote attackers to decrypt sensitive information via the network. IBM identifies only weaker-than-expected algorithms and has not disclosed the algorithm, protocol, key handling, or GUI code path responsible. Exploitation requires unauthenticated network access and high-complexity conditions, and the reported consequence is confidentiality loss only.
