Privilege escalation in IBM InfoSphere Information Server 11.7 allows remote attackers to gain elevated access through WebSphere ND files. The affected installation assigns inappropriate permissions to the WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment java tree instead of restricting it to mode 755. Exposure requires an affected 11.7 installation or an earlier release upgraded to 11.7; a weak initial umask also makes WAS ND installations susceptible.
