CVE-2020-4290Network attack vector

Unauthorized access via mutable configuration owner

Published Apr 8, 2020 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Authorization bypass in IBM Security Information Queue 1.0.0 through 1.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to gain unauthorized product access. The server trusts the owner value supplied in an intercepted product configuration request instead of binding ownership to the authenticated identity. Any authenticated account can alter that value to gain another user's product permissions, exposing protected information or enabling unauthorized access.
