Authenticated service interruption via improper project content parsing
Published Mar 31, 2020 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Denial of service in IBM Tivoli Netcool/Impact 7.1.0.0 through 7.1.0.17 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. The project management module improperly parses submitted project content, allowing crafted content to destabilize server processing. A valid authenticated session is required; IBM has not disclosed the parser locus, crafted content form, or whether interruption is a crash or hang.
