CVE-2020-4232Network attack vector

Username enumeration through repeated authentication attempts

Published May 28, 2020 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

User enumeration in IBM Security Identity Governance and Intelligence 5.2.6 allows remote attackers to identify valid usernames. IBM has not published which authentication response or processing difference discloses whether a submitted username exists. No account is required; the disclosure supplies valid usernames for later password attacks but does not itself expose passwords.
