Cleartext storage in IBM StoredIQ 7.6.0.17 through 7.6.0.20 allows local users to read sensitive data from affected directories. Directory encryption fails when a protected directory contains symbolic links, leaving data in that directory unencrypted at rest. Local access and a symlink-containing directory are required; the reported consequence is confidentiality loss without data modification or service interruption.
