Unauthenticated code execution via username command injection
Published Feb 24, 2020 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Command injection in IBM Spectrum Protect Plus 10.1.0 through 10.1.5 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted HTTP commands. The Administrative Console Framework fails to validate the user-supplied username parameter before passing it into a system call. Authentication is not required; network access to the appliance console is sufficient to execute code with administrator privileges.
