CVE-2020-4200Network attack vector

Authenticated server crash via crafted JDBC commands

Published Feb 19, 2020 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Denial of service in IBM Db2 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5 allows remote authenticated users to crash the server through a JDBC client. IBM has not disclosed which command-processing locus or operation mishandles the crafted JDBC commands that make Db2 terminate abnormally. A valid database login and JDBC access are required, and successful exploitation interrupts the database service without reported data disclosure or modification.
