CVE-2020-3940Network attack vector

Sensitive-data disclosure via failed certificate verification

Published Jan 17, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Improper certificate validation in Workspace ONE SDK allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read sensitive data in transit. The SDK mishandles certificate-verification failures rather than rejecting the connection when SSL Pinning is enabled in Workspace ONE UEM Console. Exploitation requires a network position between an affected mobile app and UEM Device Services and affects Android before 19.11.1 and iOS Objective-C before 5.9.9.8.
