CVE-2020-3926Network attack vector

Arbitrary file read via unrestricted API path

Published Feb 3, 2020 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Arbitrary file read in CHANGING ServiSign 1.0.19.0617 and earlier allows remote attackers to read local files through a crafted webpage. A called DLL API accepts an attacker-chosen path without path filtering or access control, then returns the selected file's contents to webpage code. Exploitation requires a user with ServiSign installed to browse a malicious or compromised page; the exposed file can then be uploaded to the attacker.
